Let’s Work Together…. My arse!
Talking of arse, the pain in the arse Disabled Peoples Partnership member Brendon Power has still been causing expense and trouble. You will love this first of the week’s reports.
As you know Brendon has amongst many other complaints been complaining about anything and everything to do with the Featherstone War memorial Gardens. This week is as below the belt as yet seen.
Brendon’s latest complaint to WMDC is that the War Memorial has illegally tapped in to a street light to obtain power to flood light the memorial and provide 1 x 13 amp socket for the lawn mower in summer.
After checking WMDC found that YEDL had connected to a lamp post for power to the site. A common practice used when low rates of electric are used. WMDC also confirm that the War Memorial committee is paying a fee for this usage out of money they raise. No tax payer’s money is used.
If that were not enough Brendon then went to higher people at Yorkshire electricity and complained. This resulted in YEDL being called to the site to cut off the supply. The following day apparently an outraged WMDC legal team had the power re-connected.
WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THEY HAD NOT TURNED THE POWER BACK ON?
Brendon. Leave the bloody War Memorial alone.
