Glad to see the Fev forum has returned again. I had to ask why such a long shut down “for maintenance”. Should have guessed the answer!
Internet regulation of slander is every changing and from Jan 2014 many new laws came into effect. This month will also see a number of changes in the laws of internet comments.

However “words will always retain their power. Words are for the means to meaning and for those who will listen, the annotation of truth”.

It is now quite clearly documented that the Communist Featherstone Labour Party is just that. Many Featherstone Labour Party Elected members in office and paid by us see this forum as a threat due to its democratic ability to document and report on everyday issues and concerns that they would much rather see brushed under the carpet and not addressed. Meanwhile the same political people on other forums such as Facebook and RLFC websites see no problem with swearing, bullying or criticising members of the public. The only people recently to complain about Featherstone Forum are Labour Party Members, FACT!

So a new battle line has been drawn. My own opinion is that Featherstone is worth fighting for. The Featherstone Labour party will not be bothered but their out of town comrades will further shake their heads when further reports are accompanied with facts. It is a credit to those with a voice that after almost 10 years a little old forum is still read daily by politicians and police. Shame not all the points raised make it out from under the carpet unless point scoring comes in to play.
