It has been an intriguing property for many over the years. Many have tried to find the owner. Many have tried to buy the house. Amazingly when many thought they knew the puzzle the last weeks events have brought out a whole other tale. So the story goes about 30 years ago the female owner of the house left and disappeared. Rumors were that she had gone to Scotland. No one could trace the woman. As the years went by the property fell in to disrepair to the extent of now only leaving the front and back wall with roof. There are no floors and all openings have been bricked up by various people including neighbors trying to stop people going in. Over the years many stories have appeared such as the lady had passed away. It appears that the council has now been able to force the sale to possibly regain some costs. The auction ended at £29k and was bought by friends of a local business.
What everyone thought appears possibly incorrect after the last week! Looking at the 1925 ACT and the paper work offered to compulsory sell the property raises some questions. There appears to be comment of a deceased lady. Until last week the lady could still be very alive and not in Scotland. The question is why does the lady not come forward? Again until last week not many knew another story. To try and write this has liable written all over it. The Lady is alleged to have had more than one house. The lady is alleged to have worked in a bank. On behalf of the family perhaps that should be the end of it.
