James Gibbs was shot in the chest and was taken to the doctor's surgery in Green Lane where he died. James Duggan shouldn't have died. He was shot in the knee and nobody could stop the bleeding. Why didn't someone apply a tourniquet? If left on too long he could have lost his leg, but he would have lived to tell the tale. He was taken by horse ambulance to Clayton Hospital (why not PGI?) where he died from loss of blood and shock. I accept they ended up just as dead as if they had been shot dead.
