After having a hunt in a cupboard the other day, i came across these pictures of the old West Riding Bus Depot on Wilson street, where the old Kwick Save building now stands.

This first photo shows the office block, canteen and board rooms.

This photo shows the office block again, the yard and the garage. Behind the white fence at the back of the photo is St Thomas' School and a 6ft drop onto the playground.

This is the old wash, where busses were cleaned. Many of you will notice that the small wall in the middle of the pic is still there, but only very small.

The next two photos show the garages where busses were mended etc, as some of you may notice there is a digger and a lorry clearing stuff for the demolition.

Finally, this last photo shows the demolition of the old Bus Depots offices and canteen, before the building of the Kwick Save.

I agree Whistleblower! Great pictures Ruthie Grin. Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the depot in the picture's, the building that's stood there today (Kwik Save)? I think they just converted it into a supermarket didn't they?
