You may not be aware but last year without referendum (a vote) Tony Blair (labour) voted us all in to join Europe as 1 big country. So what you may ask? Slowly you will begin to see how this affects YOU. A good example has appeared this week.

From today all singing and music must quieten down. The new law will give entertainment venues a new headache. The 85 db limit set will now be extended to concert halls and pubs, all ready hit by the smoking ban. Flouting the law will mean fines of up to £5000.00 including events like the proms.

Get ready for more hush hush laws. Sad

 Another one,

TERM OF INDERMENT

From here on it is considered derogatory to call someone, love, darling, ****, lovey, spadger ETC.
Instead it should be Mr, Mrs, Miss, and Madam ETC.

Well by hecky thump that’s going to cause some fun enforcing!

Mr, Mrs, Miss and the rest are ok for formal occasions, but there’s no way that people will do that when they see someone they know on the street and in general conversation.

Does that mean that they are trying to get rid of regional dialects?
Because when you think about it there’s not many places where you’ll hear people say ‘eyup cocka’    Grin   Grin

If regional dialects are weened out due to this, surly its removing a places individuality and peoples connections to there roots. . .

That is just utterly stupid! Can you imagine, summer time and the sun beating down (Er..I mean "WHEN" the sun is beating down) and everyone has got their headlights on! It just doesn't make sense one little bit. Can you remember Labour's theme tune when they got into power? "Things can only get better", who are they kidding?
