Outline permission was applied for last year and a decision is pending but most of the reports are in now, there is a vast number of documents attached to the development of this site available to the public. It appears to be quite a large supermarket from the drawings, However lidl have recently voiced their concerns about the effect it would have on local businesses in station lane and of course their own profits also the fact that Featherstone doesn't need another supermarket as people go to the main towns of castleford and pontefract for their main shopping. One point to raise is the local councillors are in favour which should if passed bring in much needed jobs for the town. None of the big four chains have of yet signed up to the development
