Past the old picture house site this morning, and realised what a total mess it looks, who's responsibility is it to keep it tidy? Sad

the site has planning passed for the most ugly building within 50 miles with 23 bed sits and 3 shops with no parking and permision to block station lane with up to 3 hgvs. trust me the longer the mess stays the better ( 5 years till planning has to be re-applied). if they build it every street around will be blocked and the top of the lane will come to a hault.

just bloody great eh Angry

it's the responsibility of the owner of the site, but the council has the authority to make them do something about it.

It seems such a small site these days, when I was a nipper the hip seemed a massive place. There are still some traces of the building-the wall of the inclined path you walked up when you came out is still partly there.

I'm sure the local wildlife appreciate the habitat the site provides.

Apparently the owners of the land will allow any community group in Featherstone to advertise on the land.
The recession must be hitting hard as a for sale sign has gone up spray painted on an off cut of wood fixed to the fence.
