We've had the meeting, it was attended by allotment holders from, wakefield road site, pontefract road site, girnhill lane site, and little lane site, town council were represented by, bill mulroe and dave herington, we were informed that town council have grave doubts about taking over the running of the allotments, in other words, they're frightened of being lumbered with a project that they'll not be able to afford to maintain.
It was decided to form a allotment association comprising of representatives from each of the allotment sites in feath, a meeting has been arranged for, 4th august, 7pm, in the b&s club to discuss the matter, all interested parties are welcome.

I thought that the meeting went well.  Committee has been formed and am looking forward to the next meeting. Two committee members have stepped forward from each of the allotment sites that were represented. I certainly feel optimistic that we will be able to make a difference confronting the problems that face us all as allotment holders especially when we will now have a forum to discuss ideas and apply for grants etc.

The next meeting is a commitee meeting, on 1st september, 7pm, at the b&s, after that there'll be a open meeting, that has to be arranged, the group is now up and running, the constitution has been signed, a bank account has been opened Grin
