So it is very clear today that the Featherstone Labour Party member’s four soldiers are going to continue to complain about the War Memorial Gardens and disrespect our local heroes. So many words could be said. Sad, wish there was a “night at the museum” and some of the heroes would jump out and rattle some living.
“And then there was light”.
Have you driven past the War Memorial Gardens recently about 7.30am/ 8.00am and seen a sweet lady sweeping up? The volunteers helping to keep the Memorial are just that, volunteers just like some who went to war. So were many of the people who built it. Poignant was the sweet ladies comments of why she is there. “I am overwhelmed by the memorial and ALL it represents. This is my contribution”.
Well said, friend of Featherstone.
