READY

« on: September 25, 2014, 08:51:49 pm »

It’s amazing how some people complain when its suits their plots. It is just as amazing that some people burry their heads when a political party says so.
It is fair to comment given the last 20 years of Featherstone politics that it appears Featherstone library is next to go. It appears the plot has all ready begun. WMDC has increased its mobile library service. Yes this is great as long as it is not at the cost of removing a permanent building. How long would it take for a mobile service to vanish?
The second nail just introduced is to increase rent to all community groups in Featherstone. You would be surprised to know that 10 plus community groups used the library. Rent has increased from £8 per hour to over £40 with plans to shortly increase this to about £70 per hour. All the groups have had to move. So on paper it appears the Featherstone library has less visitors and no community rental income. Shall we take a guess it is closed just after the next election. I wonder how many Featherstone Cllrs have complained?
