There is an ugly rumour going the rounds that the old pop factory site is to be a Travellers site . THIS IS TOTAL RUBBISH. The site is to be developed into a new supermarket, plans will soon be submitted to WMDC Planning dept.

Been told it is going to be a Tesco and it as come from a good saurce plans to be shown at Chesneys in March

A NEW supermarket could be built on a derelict factory site in Featherstone.

An application for outline planning permission has been submitted to Wakefield Council for a “new retail foodstore with associated access, servicing and parking” at the former Crystal Springs site on Wakefield Road.
