The Featherstone precept is the same in the next financial year according to the Express. However I have been informed it will be taken from fewer people so those of us who pay will pay more. Can anyone confirm this? Something to do with a change in the benefits system.

Was I right or was I right?
I have just received my council tax bill, and the "take" by Featherstone Council has gone up 18.6%.

Have to agree oldstonian.
Looks a bit steep?
This is the budget for 2013;
http://www.featherstonetowncouncil.com/documents/financial%20reports/Budget%202012-13.pdf
No expert but can anyone else see the figures look odd?
£6k VAT return would mean you have spent £30,000.00 on a VAT payable item.
£100 interest at for example 3% would suggest that about £3500 is sat in a bank somewhere?

Cannot seem to find the precept on line if anyone could help?
