Appeal: for witnesses - Robbery in Featherstone

Police in Featherstone are appealing for witnesses to a robbery. It
happened yesterday (Monday, 16th August) just after 7pm on Wakefield Road.
The victim, who was driving a grey Vauxhall Astra, picked up a man he knew
on Wakefield Road at the junction with Station Lane. During the journey,
the man then produced a sharp weapon and threatened the victim asking for
money and jewellery. The victim stopped the vehicle and left it.
The suspect then stole items from the vehicle before making off on foot in
the direction of Featherstone.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery - in particular a man in a white transit
van who chased the suspect - should contact PC 4126 Elkie Cooke at Wood
