Looks like a couple of crime waves have begun in Featherstone.
1. Looks like a team of 3 well known local men aged over 40 have decided to go on a shed and garden theft spree. For the last 2 weeks at least 3 sheds and gardens per night that are known to have been robbed. Motor bike, pedal bikes and power tools are the main items being targeted. It does not matter if your garden is hard to get to, these guys are keen. It would appear they are doing their homework and looking for expensive items. Get safe and lock up.
The 3 males are using a pick up to transport the goods. It appears they have a contact in Pontefract who is willing to buy/ swap/ trade. They also appear to be using 3 addresses, Farm Road, Lea Lane and Girnhill lane. Last night several victims arrived at farm road looking for their goods. Don’t know if they got their bikes hidden upstairs in one of the houses being questioned by them. Looks like this is set to last until a long prison term is enforced or the wrong victim is upset.
2. The supermarkets and some shops are being blatantly hit by thieves. Again old addicts appear to have decided to have absolutely no disregard by walking in and taking arm full’s of products which they then take to several address’s we all know.
There would have all ready been arrests made if better communications were in place.
