There is a message on Free Featherstone personally attacking Richard Taylor. How disgusting that the "politics of the Town have come to Character assasinationsto to regain power. It is not the first attack of this sort, this forum and a previous forum has/had members who delighted in personal abuse ans anonymous libelous statements.

If I may throw a little light on the subject of media policy in the Labour Party locally, in particular as regards "forums". The good guys join under their own name, his/her party colleagues join under "nicknames". As soon as the comments become unfavourable to the named Party member or the Party, others anonymously post libelous/derogatory comment about the named person to have topics or even forum removed. This is how the Party works, tries to stifle the comments.

The member on Free Featherstone has dug up all sorts of accussations about Richard personally, not once has the member said that he, as a Councillor, aligned to the Labour Party, or the party itself will be kno good for the Town if they are in power. This is a typical ploy, to make the public believe it is te "other side" who are being derogatory, when in fact it is well planned, and the party themselves are the culprits.

While I have made comments about Richard, they are not and would not be personal, I can tell you that if he stood without party, as a man interested in the Town and forgot the prestige and status within in the party that he seeks as "the man who took Featherstone back" he would perhaps with other like minded people, who are mostly Independent be good for the Town, but not while ever he carries the Red Flag. The Party will control his every action, his every speech, his every idea as a Councillor with the goal of PARTY FIRST, PEOPLE A POOR SECOND.
