A huge thanks and gratitude has to be given to all the volunteers and the public on the day who battled the weather with British grit determination to carry on and “Play”.
The Weather was a huge problem that almost halted the fun. Apologies can only be offered for the late start of some fun.
The early 4am start didn’t scare off San, Paul, Pete, Adrian, Ken, Ruth, the football ref, and other people who just appeared to help out. Hat off and thanks.
The day provided lots of fun mainly offered from volunteers. More huge thanks has to be given to Mary, Kate, Alistar, Megan, Nadine, Sue, Jo, Kay, Andy, Karen and the many groups volunteers that turned out.
There was no plan to run the event after 3pm but many volunteers and employed attractions kept going due to the numbers of people still on site. Some until 4pm. After the wet packing up ending after 7pm the football ref was still coaching and playing “any a side”. Nice one.
A further nice one and thanks has to be given to Ruth, Kate, San, Ken, Adrian, Karen and husband.
Because of you all Featherstone enjoyed another great day of community unity.
