one of the finest men i have ever had the pleasure to know and work with
as a young lad at snydale pit joe took me under his wing (as we used to say) i dont know why me but our relationship was like father and son.featherstone was a much better place for the likes of joe harper
i still have a postcard joe sent to me from russia when he was the delegate from snydale colliery and i will treasure that card all my life.
