i was talking to the owner of a house on the oneway street at back of the junction hotel, the house was originally 3 cottages and it was made into one house.the owner said it was built in about 1703 and the house next door was older. ?does any one know of any older properties in Featherstone where people are still living in them.

I'd say the bradley arms pub is among the oldest buildings in feath, it was the original farmhouse, and some of the farm buildings are listed, one of them is an old tythe barn. Grin

the first house on the oneway street at purston at the left handside of the road on the sharp bend from the park as just had the render took of the outside walls of the house and you can see where old doorways have been blocked up and 3 cottages made into 2.it looked realy well when stripped down to the old stone, sadly it is being rendered again, pity i did not have my camera with me when it was down to the bare stone.any one have any idea when the cottages was built and could they have been farm cottages.
