Title: Local council tax.
Post by: Old Stonian on March 04, 2013, 01:24:46 pm
The Featherstone precept is the same in the next financial year according to the Express. However I have been informed it will be taken from fewer people so those of us who pay will pay more. Can anyone confirm this? Something to do with a change in the benefits system.

Was I right or was I right?
I have just received my council tax bill, and the "take" by Featherstone Council has gone up 18.6%.

Have to agree oldstonian.
Looks a bit steep?
This is the budget for 2013;

No expert but can anyone else see the figures look odd?
6k VAT return would mean you have spent 30,000.00 on a VAT payable item.
100 interest at for example 3% would suggest that about 3500 is sat in a bank somewhere?

Cannot seem to find the precept on line if anyone could help?
